again: intersting line of thought! Combining 500 Pilots, with an open economy gets you towards the organisation you&#039;ll see in this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XH-groCeKbE , please look at the video, and what happens as of two minutes into the video. What you&#039;ll see is truly amazing, and must inspire you for the combination both topics. 

The idea is the way these starlings fly, is seemingly pointless.... However, as the voice-over explains, the birds have a very clear goal and sense of purpose! But what&#039;s more important they apparently are able to organise themselves perfectly according to local rules (bottom-up as we probably would say. The starlings never collide, and keep similar distances, as you can tell by the clear cut edges of the figures they form. There is no leader &#039;directing&#039; them, though they are able to form perfect organisations.... what does this tell us? Apparently each single bird does as it is supposed to do according to its own/local rules, and though they cannot predict where the neighbor will fly, the never collide..... Extremely interesting!

Should you want to read more on this topic: Richard Dawkins, The greatest show on Earth (esp. ch 8), Dawkins tries to prove evolution must be true; and no matter what your own opinion is, definitely worthwile reading material, and I&#039;m currently figuring out what this stuff means for people in organisations.
